I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in New York, California, and Colorado. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University and have been working in the mental health field since 2016, leading community-based mental health teams, consulting, and working in private practice. I identify as an Iranian-American/white, bisexual, and cisgender woman and strive to practice through an anti-racist, feminist, and anti-oppressive lens. This work offers a daily reminder that mental health is not developed in a vacuum— culture, history, family, race, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and gender identity all play a part, and it would be my privilege to work with you to uncover how these systems can both impact and empower you.

I work with individual adults ages 18+, and I am deeply passionate about working with anxiety, grief, survivors of suicide loss or other sudden death, LGBTQ+-specific issues, trauma, and issues surrounding self-esteem and self-compassion. My approach is trauma-informed, and person-centered, and I draw from principles of CBT, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic theory, IFS, and mindfulness. I am also trained as an EMDR therapist and can provide this evidence-based trauma treatment. Together we will use these tools to help you move through pain with compassion and strengthen your capacity to bounce back from it more quickly.

I’d love to get to know you.
